Giving this a shot

This will be my first attempt at blogging, so I will start with a brief introduction:

I live in a small town in Missouri with my fiancee, our cat and our two turtles. I just began graduate school this January, continuing my life as a poor college student. My research involves working on a project to use renewable energy to power a mobile water filtration unit.

Well that's not a great introduction, but it's at least a start.
