New to this world

 First off this is my first blog ever.  I'm behind the times when it comes to social networking, etc. Greenbin is my first venture.  I'm also new to the green movement.  I've always been environmentally conscious, but it wasn't until doing research for a writing project that my passion for environmental action sparked. 

There's so much doom and gloom embedded in the topic of global warming, that it scares a lot of people engaging. I was one of them.  Now that I am engaged, I feel so lucky to be part of a wonderful movement.  

It's inspiring to see so many people using their creative energies in such a productive and socially relevant manner.  I think a lot of people in our generation, whether they know it or not, are missing that spark in their soul that truly fulfills them.  There's a sense of vitality that comes from overcoming an enormous obstacle for a greater good. Never throughout human history has there been such a wonderful opportunity to unite over a cause where everyone wins. We are lucky to be alive.
